Detroit Zoo.

Thanks guys.

An itchy nose.

Nancy and the kids invited me to join them for a day at the zoo.

Welcome teachers.

Wow what a welcome - a picnic for the borough's teachers - even a marching band and cheerleaders - teachers are so loved here.

Life on the ocean(well lake) wave.

This is definitely the way to spend Labour day.

Mel's lovely uncle John and auntie Mary take me out on their boat.

The Weekend at Loon Lake.

Anna - the all action girl.

I'm a lumberjack and i'm ok.

This is how the lumberjacks were fed.

One day this will be mine...

Down on the shores of the lake with Barb and Paula.

Lucy enjoys the morning view.

Duane and Paula (and Lucy) invited Barb and I to enjoy the beautiful cottage at Loon Lake in Hale.

My First Guest, the state fair and how we ended up in karaoke.

My dinner host - Llewellyn - the queen would be proud.
A great view and the all American grill.

Sarah, Lucy and I on Belle Isle for a picnic - Canada to the left, Detroit to the right.

And then there was karaoke!!!!

More drinks.

The love of cider.

Only in America - a cow made from butter.

The world's largest stove.

The all American man.

A stunning view from the big wheel.

Weeeeee!

All hail " save the Michigan State Fair".
Wow - a whopper of a pumpkin.

Moooooo!

Fudge making at the State Fair.

A Greek restaurant.

Sarah pops over for the weekend. I made sure she saw some of the sights of Berkley.

Food glorious food.

Blueberry pancakes - yummmmmmmy.

Just love the spinach pie.

Fattoush with Sarah and Barb.

My first mac 'n' cheese. Thanks Jason.

Ok, I've just been looking through my photos and realised that I've been photographing a few of my meals so here's a quick insight...

Dinner in Mexican Town.

I did find some cakes to try though.

A bakery open in the evening - genius. Not so sure i want to
try these stones - i think they mean scones!

"Cheers" and a dip.

"Cheers Barb."

"Cheers Kristin."

"Cheers Matt."

I have travelled from here to there.

First a stroll along the Detroit river. Canada is in the background just over the water.

My new found American Friends take me to downtown Detroit and to the Mexican Town for some genuine Mexican grub.
